Ability to edit the default mail templates
complete
Gresham Membership-Secretary
When I send out an email I can select from 5 default templates or any of my custom templates. I am able to edit my custom templates and also the templates used in automated emails - but not the default templates.
In particular, I would like to add my contact details and web links so I don't have to reconstruct them every time I use a default template. And I would also like to change the subject and the body of the "Renewal Template"

Hi there!
Thanks for this wonderful feedback. :)
You can now create 'Saved Templates' using the 'Renew Membership Template' -- does this satisfy this request for you?
If not, we'd love to learn more!

Mitch Colleran: I have now created my own custom template using the new "Renewal" template as the basis.
What I really would like is to be able to insert user spuser-specificecific data in emails using variables. e.g.....
Dear #FirstName#
I tried to contact you by phone on #Phone1# but it came back as out of service, would you please go online and update your membership information.

Gresham Membership-Secretary: Excellent! Thanks for the confirmation and context. :)
For the second part of the request, we're tracking that here (if you haven't voted for this over there -- definitely do that so that you're tracking progress): https://feedback.joinit.org/feature-requests/p/allow-for-merge-tags-in-emails-sent-from-join-it
I'll close this request, as we've satisfied the first part and we're tracking the second part separately. :)
