Our Organization would like for when a member doesn't select a state it defaults to N/A or a blank instead of Alabama.

When people don't choose a state, it defaults to Alabama as the first state in the list, instead of to an n/a or blank option. So it looks like I have hundreds of members in Alabama and I am having to manually clean that (by guessing where people are from, but I still don't have a good way to categorize them if I don't know their state).
